  1. Q: What steps do I need to take to achieve my Green Labourer Card?

A: Step 1 - Book a CITB Operative Health, Safety & Environment test. Best way to do this is through Pearson View, based in Avonmouth, who are subcontracted by the CITB to deliver the tests. Cost is £19.50 +VAT per person. You'll need to set-up a Pearson/CITB web account - here. There are other test centres available but they just ‘broker’ Pearson and therefore cost more. Step 2 - Book the course! Step 3 - Apply for your Green Labourer Card (call 0344 9944 777) £30 +VAT. Full details, including video here. To make it all as easy as possible give the same info at each and every each stage (i.e. use your full name rather than a shortened version). NB: *CSCS cards can be renewed up to 6 months before they expire. If you hold a green card CSCS Construction Site Operative (CSO) card that expires before the 31st of December and have passed the operative level CITB Health, Safety & environment test you can renew your current CSO card before 1st of July 2014.

    • It doesn't matter what order you take step 1 and step 2 in but most people take their touch screen test first.
    • You don't have to wait until you receive your A4 certificate through the post to apply for your card as we scan the paperwork to the CITB who put it on their system.
    • Normally you can apply for the card 3 working days after your course.
    • Certificates are sent recorded delivery up to 6 weeks after the course.

  2. Q: How long after the CITB Operatives H&S Test can I attend a CITB One Day H&S Awareness course?

A: We asked the CITB - this is what they said: "The CITB Operative Health, Safety & Environment test is valid for 2 years from passing to be able to pass the one day HSA course and still achieve a CSCS card."

  3. Q: How long do you have to apply for the Green Labourers Card after attending the CITB Health & Safety Awareness Test?

    A: 2 years

  4. Q: Free Cskills Awards App?

A: There's a free App to help revise for the CITB Health & Safety Awareness course and/or Touch Screen test. Find it on iTunes or Google Play.
