FAQs
Q: How is this First Aid course assessed?
A: There is no final practical assessment on this course. The participant’s competency is continually assessed by the facilitator over the course of the day.
Q: What First Aid course should I go on? The 3 day FAAW or the 1 day EFAW?
A: Whilst there are no hard and fast rules, HSE have published guidance on their website (http://www.hse.gov.uk/firstaid/needs-assessment.htm) which explains all the factors you need to think about before deciding what First Aid course is best for you. We also advise you to ask whoever your employer to see what they advise. At the end of the day the questions best asked is if something did happen on site, would you be able to deal with it? If you were in court because of an incident, would the judge think your training was adequate? Whatever route you decide upon, we would be happy to help you with either the 3 day or 1 day course.
